The director of PCDS is Karol Fuget. Karol was promoted to the position of Director in December of 2000, after teaching at PCDS for over ten years and an active member of our board.
Our faculty consists of 14 teachers, many of whom have been with the school several years. PCDS has always been proud of its long-term staff and low turnover rate. This provides great stability for our children and a loving family environment. Teachers will schedule parent conferences twice a year.
Our teachers are trained in first aid and CPR. Our teachers also attend
childcare related training workshops.
PCDS is open from 7am - 6pm Monday through Friday, with the exception of the published holidays and teacher work days.
Karol gives tours of the school from Tuesday - Thursday from 9:30 to 12:00. Call to set up a time.
PCDS uses the HighReach Learning® curriculum. Inspiring little learners through monthly curriculum and age-appropriate learning materials. We provide education material starting at 6 weeks. To learn more visit http://www.highreach.com/Scripts/default.asp
The school offers a Date Night on the third Saturday of each month. You can drop your children off anytime after 5pm and pick them up anytime prior to 11pm. Reservations are required and prepayment is required by the prior Thursday. The sign up sheet is on a clipboard by the front door.
The fee is $30 for one child, $40 for two children, and $50 for three children. Please place cash in the red tuition box with you child's name on the envelope. This pays the teachers salary for the evening, therefore it is non-refundable. There is one classroom for the infants and one classroom for the older children during date night, so space is limited. Tips are always welcomed!
PCDS is run by a board of directors, composed of parents of enrolled children. The board holds regular meetings at the school at 6pm on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Childcare is available but must be reserved in advance.
As we are a non-profit school we rely on parents to volunteer periodically with fundraising, workdays and other activities as necessary. The school also has fun activities like family picnics, seasonal carnivals, and auction parties. New ideas for school activities are always welcome!
Parents are always welcome to drop by the school to visit with their child.
Gymnastics, Spanish and Computer Classes
Contempra Gym conducts gymnastics classes once a week at the school. The classes are available to children in Toddler 2 and Preschool. There is an additional charge for these classes payable to Comtempra. If you are interested, please see the Director for enrollment information.
Gymnastics classes are available for children ages 2 ½ to 5 years.
$35 per month, each Tuesday.
Spanish classes are available for children ages 3 ½ to 5 years.
Free
Computer classes are available for children ages 3 ½ to 5 years
$30 per month. Classes are each Thursday.
